Redirects to other pages
To setup a redirect, they are more ways. For beginners the redirects are very interessting, to bring a client in your webspace to a differented page.
This Attentions are for beginners and profis when they upload the pages with a differented program and later they cant see their normal start page.
You must know, that when your webspace was created, that in this you get in our standard one page with the index.html. On this you see this information:
"Hier entstehen die Internet-Seiten des Confixx Benutzers web__ auf confixxtest"
translated that means:
"Here will been start in the next day a site of the new confixx-user web___ on confixxtest"
Now, when you have uploaded your sites, you can delete this own page, why otherwise the server will show everytime this page and not example your page: index.php or default.html or default.php.
Otherwise you can setup in the index.html a redirect to a differented startpage:
Please edit a index.html page as follow:
//<head>
//<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="3; URL=http://myDomain.xxx/mystartpage.html">
//<!-- ... or other informations in the header ... -->
//</head>
When you are finnnished, please delete the // in the beginning, thats only, thats only we needed to show you this script!
Later it´s better to make the redirect in the .htaccess - File, but to learn about this, follow the informations expl. with google search, thats later better for optimation your sites for search-engines
